The Civic Museums of Cagliari are hosting a major exhibition at the City Palace, featuring Wanda Nazzari. For over half a century, Wanda Nazzari has been a prominent figure in the history of contemporary art in Sardinia. Her work has crossed seasons, languages, and generations, transforming materials into poetry and artwork into spaces of reflection, memory, and knowledge.

Painter, engraver, sculptor, performer, director, poet, and tireless cultural promoter, Nazzari has significantly contributed to the growth of the island's visual culture. She has built a dense network of artistic and intellectual relationships over time, making Cagliari one of the most vibrant places for contemporary experimentation.

The Civic Museums dedicate the exhibition "Wanda Nazzari. Rust and Silk Scores" to this significant figure in Sardinian art. The exhibition, located at the City Palace on Palazzo Square, will be open to the public from August 1st to November 8th, 2026. Organized by the Department of Culture, Entertainment, and Tourism of the Municipality of Cagliari, the exhibition curated by Mariolina Cosseddu is a significant institutional recognition of a protagonist who has deeply marked the cultural history of the city and of Sardinia.
