'Homage to women': the Civic Music School concert on March 9th in Sant'Antioco

In celebration of International Women's Day, the music institution of Sant'Antioco and San Giovanni Suergiu, the Civic School of Music Don Tore Armeni, pays tribute to women with a special concert presented by Lisa Mameli, free admission: 'Homage to Women', scheduled for Sunday, March 9th, at 6:30 pm in the council chamber. All active classes will perform, from singing, white voices, modern, to instrumental classes such as violin, piano, guitar, bass, percussion, flute, and saxophone. The evening will begin with an 'ensemble' of teachers and students performing 'Cinema Paradiso' by Ennio Morricone, conducted by Maestro Claudio Corrias, followed by performances from various classes under the guidance of their respective teachers.

But for the SCM Don Tore Armeni, the day holds a special significance: on this occasion, the music institution, in addition to paying tribute to all women, will give special attention to Professor Pinella Pistis, who dedicated a poem to the Antiochian civic school that made it to the finals of the XVI International Poetry Competition 'Il Federiciano 2024'.
