MIELERIE·APERTE, a network of beekeeping enterprises across Italy, welcomes visitors to explore the world of bees during its second Open Beekeeping Day. Mieli Manias, a historic Sardinian apiary, represents the network's commitment to sharing beekeeping heritage with the public.
Mieli Manias Heritage
Dating back to 1631, Mieli Manias began with Antiogo Manias managing 146 episcopal hives. The family tradition continued through Luigi Olla, who pioneered mobile honeycomb hives in Sardinia in 1917.
Sustainable Production
Operating under organic certification since 2009, the Monte Arci Park apiaries produce:
• Multi-floral and single-origin honeys
• Specialty varieties: asphodel, sulla clover, thistle
• Premium eucalyptus and strawberry tree honey
• High-quality pollen and propolis
