Capitani Coraggiosi Returns: Epic Adventures Await Kids and Families in Selargius!

Following last week's exciting launch for the 0-3 age group—a fresh highlight this year—Capitani Coraggiosi is back in its classic format. This beloved 29th edition by Cada Die Teatro, directed by Tatiana Floris and Silvestro Ziccardi, brings interactive workshops and family fun to kids and their loved ones at the Teatro Comunale Si ‘e Boi in Selargius.

Sunday, February 1st kicks off the traditional labs from 4 PM:

  • Giocare Coraggiosi with Cemea Sardegna—hands-on play for bold explorers.
  • Giochiamo con Trasporto with Amici della Bicicletta—pedal-powered creativity.
  • C’era una volta… La storia di un suono immaginato, led by Francesca Romana Motzo (Scuola Civica di Musica di Selargius). Dive into the endless world of sounds, where breaths and movements spark infinite tales. Crinkle papers like clouds, dance shapes like ocean waves, and let imagination flow.

Don't miss Uno spazio piccolissimo, crafted by Francesca Pani (Cada Die Teatro). This cozy corner is perfect for tiny tots and their parents, grandparents, or caregivers—a slow-paced haven of books, games, and pure fantasy.

Snack Time & Star of the Show: "Le Avventure di Pesce Gaetano"

Refuel with a delicious snack, then at 5:30 PM, experience national guest stars Giallomare Minimal Teatro from Empoli. Their hit show Le Avventure di Pesce Gaetano—written and performed by Vania Pucci, inspired by Samad Behrangi's Il pesciolino nero—features stunning sand drawings by Ines Cattabriga, digital animations, and tech magic from Giacomo Saradini, Saverio Bartoli, and more.

Imagine a wise Grandma Fish sharing tales of her 12,000 grandkids deep in the ocean. Follow Gaetano, a curious fish with a massive tail, born high in a mountain spring. Stargazing sparks his dream of adventure. With a brave leap into the waterfall, he journeys through streams, rivers, and seas—meeting scary foes like gray fish, crabs, herons, pike, and the glowing Lantern Fish, plus delightful friends like larks and goldfish.

This mesmerizing production blends live acting, digital puppets, and live sand art projected in real-time. A multimedia artist animates characters alongside the actress, while a sand artist sculpts epic scenes on the spot!

School Matinées continue the magic: Catch Le Avventure di Pesce Gaetano on Monday, February 2nd at 10 AM for preschool, primary, and middle school kids.

Organized by Cada Die Teatro with support from the MiC (Ministry of Culture)Regione Sardegna (Culture Department)Comune di SelargiusCittà Metropolitana di Cagliari, and Comune di Cagliari.
