Every year in Cagliari, the ceremony of Holy Easter, 'Sa Pasca Manna,' is celebrated. This suggestive ceremony of Spanish origin has been taking place in the historic center since the 16th century and still represents an event of intense religious significance. It consists of a series of rituals, processions, and solemn chants that relive the most significant moments of the Passion of Christ and the Death of Jesus.

Solemn chants, crying, and sorrow captivate both faithful believers and tourists for the strong emotions they manage to evoke. It is thanks to this celebration that a centuries-old tradition is kept alive, held in the ancient part of Cagliari, involving the four historic neighborhoods (Castello, Stampace, Marina, and Villanova) with their churches.
