Dromos reveals another card: Mario Biondi in concert on August 11th in Neoneli.

After announcing the first dates of the lineup - Stefano Bollani's solo performance on July 29 in the archaeological area of Tharros and Subsonica on August 16 in Cabras - the Dromos festival adds another piece to the mosaic of its twenty-eighth edition, which, like every summer, will unfold between various towns and locations in the province of Oristano. On August 11, Neoneli will host Mario Biondi in concert at 10 p.m. in the enchanting location of S'Angelu, nestled in the Barigadu landscape.

**MARIO BIONDI: THE "SOUL MAN" OF ITALIAN MUSIC**

With his deep, warm, and instantly recognizable voice, the Catania-born singer, born in 1971, has been one of the most acclaimed Italian performers in the international soul and jazz scene for over twenty years. His artistic journey took a decisive turn in 2006 with the success of "This Is What You Are," a song that captivated radio stations and audiences across Europe.

Mario Biondi's baritone timbre and interpretative elegance, often likened to soul greats like Teddy Pendergrass, Isaac Hayes, and Barry White, have made him a unique figure in Italian music. His debut album "Handful of Soul," created with the High Five Quintet, marked the beginning of a career on the rise, blending rhythm & blues, jazz, and swing and opening doors to the international market for Biondi.

Since then, his artistic path has been enriched with prestigious collaborations and diverse projects, from the success of "If" in 2009 - featuring songs written by Burt Bacharach - to his more recent works that have solidified his global presence. Notable albums include "Sun" released in 2013 with contributions from artists like Al Jarreau and Chaka Khan, and "Brasil," recorded in Rio de Janeiro in 2018, offering a musical journey through the diverse facets of Brazilian tradition.

Released in 2023, "Crooning Undercover" led to a series of international concerts exceeding one hundred performances across Italy and over twenty countries. This intense live activity has brought Biondi to major festivals and theaters worldwide, culminating in events in 2024 and 2025 celebrating his international career and paving the way for the "This is What You Are" tour, commemorating the twentieth anniversary of "Handful of Soul" this summer at Dromos.

**DROMOS SECRETS: THE 28TH EDITION**

Over these four decades, Mario Biondi has effortlessly traversed various languages and genres. On August 11, his intense and enveloping voice will bring a night of soul and jazz atmospheres to Neoneli, featuring classics from his repertoire and newer tracks in one of the festival's most captivating settings. Tickets for the concert can be purchased for €22 (plus booking fees) via the dromosfestival.it website.

This event is part of the 28th edition of Dromos, titled "Dromos Secrets," inviting exploration of the unsaid, mystery, and slow revelations through artistic experience. In a time dominated by hyper-visibility and instant communication, the festival chooses to restore value to anticipation, discovery, and the listening experience.

"Thanks to the entire organizing team of Dromos, even small, marginalized villages far from major music and art circuits can host events of this caliber," said Mayor Salvatore Cau of Neoneli. "These important events not only unite the beauty of the performance with moments of sociality and sharing but also serve as showcases highlighting the territories rich in history, natural beauty, and culinary culture."
