The Amici della Musica concert season kicks off on March 27: the complete lineup of events

Everything is set for the Concert Season organized by the Friends of Music in Cagliari, which will bring artists of great value to the stage of the Carmen Melis Theater from March 27 to November 27. Enrico Garau, president of the Friends of Music association, introduces the new features for this year: the chosen theme for the 2025 programming is interpretation, understood as the aspect that characterizes and differentiates each concert in a recognizable way. The goal is to propose innovative productions that challenge the traditional interpretation of classical music masterpieces, as well as artists who offer established but always original readings.

Two appointments per month will keep classical music lovers company until the end of the year, with the aim, thanks to the new season, of making younger audiences fall in love with this genre - and the choice to start the shows at 7 pm is not accidental. The concerts organized by the Friends of Music this year are ready to capture, as usual, the interest of music lovers and also the younger generations, to introduce them to the works of immortal artists like Bach.

On the stage of the Carmen Melis Theater, which has now become the home of classical music in Cagliari, incredibly talented artists like pianist Francesco Libetta, the Adorno Quartet, the Modena Brass Quartet, and violinist Davide De Ascanis will perform: musicians accustomed to treading important stages.

Classical music enthusiasts will be able to enjoy a wide range of repertoires ranging from Mozart to Brahms, from Vivaldi to Debussy, with solo performances, piano concerts, violin, cello, flute, and chamber ensembles.

The concert series kicks off on March 27 with a performance by Nicholas Robinson (violin) and Lucio Garau (piano) in a program dedicated to Mozart. Among the most anticipated events, we highlight Davide De Ascaniis (violin) interpreting the works of Marcov, Ysaye, and Paganini on April 17, and the piano recital by Alfonso Alberti with Bach, Ligeti, Schubert, Vacchi, Schumann on May 19.

In addition, on July 17, the festival will host the Bizzarria Ensemble with Vivaldi's 'The Four Seasons,' and on November 13, the Interzone Quartet will perform a program including pieces by Bach, Scarlatti, Oppo, and Lang.

Don't miss this exciting concert series bringing exceptional musical performances to Cagliari. Stay tuned for an unforgettable musical experience!
