Culture in Cagliari never takes a vacation!

On Ferragosto day, both locals and tourists will have the chance to explore the museums and cultural sites of the city, which will be open to the public as usual.

Here is a list of the places to visit and their opening hours:

-Archaeological Museum and Picture Gallery: 10 euro entrance fee, open from 8:30 am to 7:30 pm (last entry at 6:45 pm)


- Municipal Art Gallery and Ancient City Palace: 6 euro (Gallery) and 8 euro (City Palace) entrance fees, open from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm

- Siamese Art Museum 'Stefano Cardu': 3 euro entrance fee, open from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm


- Luigi Cocco Collection (Ethnographic Museum): 3 euro entrance fee, open from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm (last entry at 7:30 pm)


- Royal Palace: 3 euro entrance fee, open from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm (ticket office closes 30 minutes before closing time)


- Botanical Garden: 6 euro entrance fee, open from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm (ticket office closes at 6:00 pm)


- Cagliari Monuments (Roman Amphitheatre, Grotta della Vipera, Crypt of Santa Restituta, Covered Walkway): 3 euro entrance fee, 8 euro for a combined ticket, open from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm and from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm (ticket office closes 30 minutes before closing time)


- Exma: 6 euro entrance fee, open from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm and from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm


- San Michele Castle: 3 euro entrance fee, open from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm


- Sant'Eulalia Archaeological Area and Treasure Museum: 5 euro entrance fee, open from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm and from 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm


- Il Lazzaretto Cultural Center: open from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm and from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm


- Molentargius Saline Regional Natural Park: free entrance, park information point open from 8:30 am to 8:30 pm


- Conti Vecchi Saline: 12 euro for entrance and tour on a little train, open from 9:30 am to 6:30 pm


- Tuvixeddu Necropolis: free entrance, open until 10:30 pm
